Many know of these strain, but few know where they came from and who sourced them. Bubba and Fugee were a part of the OG Kush phenomenon, as well as the back stories behind Bubba Kush and the renowned Kurple Fantasy strains. Here they are to discuss some of their famous creations.

Can you give me a brief rundown on the history of Kurple Fantasy?

[Bubba] Let's start in chronological order starting with the '92 OG: I brought the Kush out from Florida to L.A. B-Real from Cypress Hill, Snoop and all those guys started rapping about it, and made it famous. Fugee was one of the original OG's. He was around in '92 and was among the first five of that started growing the Kush. He continued on to Colorado, and I continued to L.A.

The Kush has been in Colorado about as long as it's been in L.A, only major difference at the time was that it was never given out here in Colorado. Unfortunately - and fortunately - it was spread by my friends in L.A. Josh D was the first OG in LA to get the Kush, and he gave it to two friends, and they gave it to two friends. That's how the Kush raged all through Southern California. That was my part in that OG history, along with the Bubba Kush. That's where Fugee steps in, and starts his genetics. He started playing with genetics around '99 in Denver. Fugee came here [Denver] from Florida, at least five years before me. I would say he has been in Colorado here since '99.
