A Grand Rapids art gallery will host a fundraiser for the MILegalize petition drive on October 29.

The fundraiser will be held at the impressive Richard App Gallery and includes a cocktail party with select speakers. The event was conceived and organized by MILegalize Board Member Michael Tuffelmire from Grand Rapids. Tufflemire is a veteran political operative in the Grand Rapids area. “I believe the state’s west side is full of staunch legalization supporters who know this is unique moment in our state’s history,” he said. “They want to be a part of it.”

MILegalize is the common name for the Michigan Comprehensive Cannabis Law Reform Committee. The petition drive was launched June 25th in a ceremony held on the steps of the State Capitol Building.
