Many changes were made pertaining to the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act, including updated information on criminal procedure, transportation of medicine and bonafide patient-physician relationships.
We at Natures Answer suggest that all patients read through the laws completely. Major changes have been applied and may result in fines or charges by the State of Michigan.
This bill is, as passed by Senate, the code of criminal procedure.
It adds 'Selling marihuana in violation to registry identification card restrictions' on the list of felonies.
This bill is, as passed by Senate, an amendment to the MMMA.
In order to apply for a medical marihuana card, applicants must provide proof of residency in Michigan, which will now require a MICHIGAN drivers license OR State ID OR a Michigan voter registration card.
This also includes changes to the delivery of MMMP cards, which will now be issued 5 business days after approval of an application or renewal, and expirations are now TWO years after the card is issued.
This bill is, as passed by House, the Michigan Penal Code.
It forbids the transportation of usable medical marijuana in a vehicle unless it is enclosed in the trunk of the vehicle or inclosed in a case that is not accessible from the interior of the vehicle, IF the vehicle has no trunk.
This bill is, as passed by House, an amendment to the Workers Disability Compensation act of 1969.
It states that an employer is not required to reimburse or cause to be reimbursed charges for medical marihuana treatment.
This bill is, as passed by Senate, an amendment to the MMMA of 2008.
It defines a "bonafide patient-physician relationship" and CHANGES REQUIREMENTS FOR CAREGIVERS. Caregivers who have had ANY felonies in the last 10 years will be automatically DISQUALIFIED as caregivers.
