Legislation to allow for minors to be administered cannabis-based products for medical use while on school grounds has been filed in Washington’s House of Representatives.

House Bill 1060 would allow parents, guardians, and primary caregivers to administer medical marijuana products to students if they are qualified patients who have received a recommendation from a physician. “School grounds” includes school buses and school-sponsored events.

Georgia House Speaker David Ralson (R-Blue Ridge) has announced the formation of a study group that is designed to find the best way to connect patients with cannabis based medicines. The committee will begin work this legislation session.

Connecticut officials have voted to expand the state’s medical cannabis program to include four more qualifying conditions.

The Board of Physicians voted in favor of adding fibromyalgia, muscular dystrophy, shingles and rheumatoid arthritis as medical cannabis conditions.

This particular weekend has been interesting for folks in PDX.
